The
Committee for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health under the
Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan has prepared recommendations
on the protection of children and the elderly in conditions of abnormal heat.
Recommendations
for child protection:
You should
not wait until the child feels thirsty. In hot weather, it is necessary to give
him water to drink regularly.
For walks,
choose light clothes made of natural fabrics in light shades and be sure to use
a headdress.
It is
recommended to limit children's exposure to direct sunlight between 11:00 and
17:00. It is better to plan active games and walks in the morning or evening
hours when the air temperature is lower.
Recommendations
for the elderly:
It is
necessary to drink water regularly during the day to maintain water balance,
even if there is no intense thirst.
Keep the
room cool, use a fan or air conditioner if possible, and ventilate the rooms
regularly.
During
periods of extreme heat, it is recommended to avoid heavy physical exertion,
prolonged exposure to the sun, and to rest more often in cool or shaded areas.
Following
simple rules will help reduce the risk of heat stroke, dehydration, and poor
health in hot weather. Take care of yourself and your loved ones during the
summer heat!
