Today, the President of Uzbekistan took part in the opening ceremony of the Regional Ecological Summit, visited the International Exhibition Center EXPO, where he got acquainted with the national pavilions of Uzbekistan and other countries, and met with the Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, Inger Andersen.
On the same day, the Leader of Uzbekistan addressed the meeting of the Council of Heads of Founder States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.
Following the events, the President of Uzbekistan departed for Tashkent. At Astana International Airport, the Head of State was seen off by the Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Serik Zhumangarin, along with other officials.
