During the operation, two residents of Angren, born in 1993 and 1997, were arrested red-handed. According to preliminary data, they colluded, rented an apartment in one of the multi-storey buildings of the city and organized the manufacture of counterfeit money there.
During the inspection of the premises, counterfeit banknotes in denominations of 100 and 200 thousand soums for a total of 79.8 million soums, which were under manufacture, were seized. An EPSON color printer, coloring materials and stationery were also found.
It is noted that both suspects had previous convictions.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact under paragraph "b" of part 2 of Article 176 of the Criminal Code. Investigative actions are underway.
