As
previously reported, violations related to exceeding the permissible trade
surcharges for medicines are detected by the tax authorities. For the rapid
exchange of information, there is a data transfer mechanism in the unified
information system of the Committee for the Development of Competition and
Consumer Protection "Fair Tech".
During the
second quarter of 2026, checks were carried out on the messages received in the
system and appropriate measures were taken.
As a
result, 148,810 cases of unjustified income totaling 1.9 billion soums were
detected in 237 pharmacies, including 33 wholesale and 204 retail ones.
According
to the revealed facts, a recalculation was carried out in favor of consumers,
and measures were taken to restore the violated rights of buyers.
The
Competition Committee will continue to monitor compliance with the requirements
of legislation in the field of medicines circulation. Legal measures will be
taken against pharmacies that commit violations, and information about such
organizations will be publicly available.
