The search for the suspect was announced through Interpol channels on the initiative of the National Security Council of Uzbekistan. In order to establish his location and organize his detention, the Uzbek side conducted constant information interaction with the national Interpol bureaus of other States.
As a result of joint activities with the Interpol National Security Council in Tbilisi, the wanted man was discovered and detained on the territory of Georgia.
After satisfying the petition of the General Prosecutor's Office of Uzbekistan by the Ministry of Justice of Georgia, the suspect was extradited to Tashkent. He was brought to the country with the direct participation of the staff of the National Security Service of Interpol of Uzbekistan for further investigative and procedural actions.
The Ministry noted that this operation has become an example of effective international cooperation in combating transnational crime and confirmation of the effectiveness of Interpol mechanisms in ensuring the inevitability of punishment.
