From May 10 to May 20, Tajikistan hosts the international tournament among youth teams under 20 years of age "CAFA U-20 Championship", which traditionally involves teams from Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan.

Nurbek Sarsenbayev and Sayfiddin Sodikov scored three minutes apart in the first half.

In the first round match, the Uzbek national team beat their peers from Kyrgyzstan (2:0) with goals from Ulugbek Maratov (32) and Sodikov (77).

Now our compatriots will play on May 17 with their peers from Tajikistan. Yesterday, the hosts of the tournament defeated the team of Turkmenistan (2:1), the Turkmen defeated Afghanistan (3:1) in the first round.
