The meeting
was chaired by AFC President Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa.
During the
meeting, key issues of the development of Asian football, strengthening
cooperation between national associations, improving the activities of regional
structures, as well as the implementation of new economic initiatives and
projects were discussed.
Special
attention was paid to the strategic directions of football development in Asia,
expansion of partnership and strengthening of financial and commercial potential.
The AFC leadership noted the significant achievements of recent years and
emphasized the desire to further improve the sporting and economic level of
football in the region.
It was also
noted that significant progress has been made in the implementation of projects
related to commercial and investment rights during the 2029-2036 cycle. AFK
expressed its intention to maintain and strengthen the positive dynamics of
development.
During the
meeting, the work of the AFK Audit and Compliance Committee, as well as the
tender management team, was highly appreciated. Their contribution to ensuring
transparency of processes and effective management will be emphasized.
In
addition, the AFC unanimously supported the re-election of Gianni Infantino as
FIFA President for the next term, noting that this decision reflects the
sustained cooperation and high level of interaction between the AFC and FIFA.
