This event has
further solidified Uzbekistan's status as a regional sports hub for the
discipline.
Over the past two
years, the scale of the event has expanded significantly: more than 1,000
athletes from 45 countries participated (a threefold increase), while the total
number of participants and guests exceeded 15,000. The presence of over 100
Olympic and World Championship medalists ensured a high level of competition.
In the men's WTCS
(Elite) category, Vasco Vilaça (Portugal) took first place, while Beth Potter
(Great Britain) triumphed in the women's category. Additionally, two
para-athletes from Uzbekistan secured bronze medals.
The influx of
visitors contributed approximately $3 million in revenue to the local economy.
