According to "Tatar-inform," foreign citizens were among the 9
people killed as a result of the attack organized on the hostel in the
industrial zone.
Nodirjon Kosimov, the Consul General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, arrived at the
scene of the incident. He is participating in resolving issues related to
returning the bodies of the deceased citizens to Uzbekistan.
A total of 13 people died and 48 people sustained bodily injuries of
varying severity as a result of the attack. Today has been declared a day of
mourning in Tatarstan.
According to the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan, after the
forensic medical examination and necessary official procedures are completed,
the bodies of the deceased compatriots will be brought back to Uzbekistan.
