Starting
from April 15, 2026, when applying non-acceptance write-offs from banks, a
minimum non-deductible balance will be introduced - the amount of at least 3
basic calculated values (DB) will always be stored on the card. This means that
debiting funds will not be able to completely reset the balance: operations
will only be performed within the amount exceeding the set threshold.
"Non-acceptance
write-offs are used, as a rule, to repay cardholders' debts to banks and
financial organizations, including loans, installments and other obligations.
Thus, the instrument is part of the financial discipline system," the
company explained.
The changes
were implemented in accordance with the rules of the UZCARD payment system. It
is clarified that the new conditions do not apply to cards, the details of
which the bank received from the client with confirmed OTP verification.
UZCARD,
together with the participating banks, has already completed the technical
configuration of the necessary updates.
