During
customs control, a 51-year-old citizen traveling to a neighboring state tried
to take out 35.6 thousand US dollars, hiding the money inside a skullcap.
According
to the Customs Committee, the specified amount was not included in the customs
declaration and was not stated by the passenger during the oral interview.
Undeclared foreign currency was withdrawn in accordance with the procedure
established by law.
The
ministry recalled that residents of Uzbekistan have the right to export foreign
currency in cash in the equivalent of up to 100 million soums from the country.
A customs
check is currently underway on this fact.
