The plenary
session was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan
Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Yuri
Shuleiko, as well as representatives of the governments of the two countries,
regional administrations, relevant ministries and departments, and business
circles.
During the
speeches, it was noted that Belarus is one of Uzbekistan's key strategic
partners, and bilateral cooperation is becoming more practice-oriented.
The forum
participants paid special attention to the development of direct interregional
ties, the expansion of industrial cooperation and the implementation of joint
production projects. It was emphasized that the economies of Uzbekistan and
Belarus complement each other, creating favorable conditions for the
localization of production, the formation of value chains and joint access to
the markets of third countries.
Following
the forum, a signing ceremony was held for interregional documents, as well as
investment, trade and economic agreements aimed at further strengthening
bilateral cooperation.
The
business program of the event included thematic sessions on the development of
industry, agriculture, woodworking and furniture industries, as well as
cooperation in the social and humanitarian spheres.
