Foreign citizens B.K. and B.A. complained via social networks to the
Committee that "Centrum Air" was not refunding the funds paid for
tickets despite the cancellation of the flight.
During the investigations, it was determined that the applicants held
airline tickets for the Baku — Tashkent — Bangkok and Bangkok — Tashkent — Baku
routes. However, the airline canceled the Tashkent — Bangkok flight on July 13
and the Bangkok — Tashkent flight on July 20.
Consequently, the passengers purchased new air tickets and carried out
their trips via other flights.
It is noted that official representatives of the airline at the airport
issued an official refund act, stamped by the airline, confirming the right to
a 100% refund of the ticket value. However, the funds were not returned to the
passengers within the established period.
As a result of the Competition Committee's inquiries, the refund of over
9.7 million sums—specifically $808.62 USD—paid for the unused airline tickets
was fully ensured to the passengers by "Centrum Air."
Additionally, taking into account the inconveniences caused, the airline
decided to provide both passengers with a certificate granting a one-time free
flight on any regular route of "Centrum Air."
