According
to the data of the National Statistics Committee, this indicator increased by
976 people, or 2.5 times, compared to the corresponding period of last year.
The main
share of those who moved to Uzbekistan for permanent residence fell to Russia
with 580 people. They are followed by Kazakhstan with 362 people and Tajikistan
with 147 people. Meanwhile, 560 people moved from other countries.
By region,
the highest number of arrivals was recorded in the city of Tashkent with 1,089
people. 269 people came to Tashkent region, and 115 people came to the Republic
of Karakalpakstan for permanent residence.
Additionally,
31 people moved to Navoi region, 22 to Samarkand region, 21 to Khorezm region,
18 to Surkhandarya region, and 15 each to Sirdaryo and Fergana regions.
This
indicator stood at 13 people each in Bukhara and Namangan regions, 12 in
Jizzakh region, 11 in Andijan region, and 5 in Kashkadarya region.
