The parties highly appreciated the dynamics of cooperation and the successful implementation of joint programs, including professional development of law enforcement officers, countering the use of new technologies by terrorists and preventing the financing of terrorism.

The participants paid special attention to the prospects of creating an International Competence Center for the rehabilitation and Reintegration of persons returned from conflict zones, an initiative that President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev put forward at the 80th anniversary session of the UN General Assembly in September 2025.

It was noted that this structure, based on the successful experience of Central Asia, can become a global knowledge platform for the development of flexible rehabilitation strategies. It is assumed that the Center will focus on the training and advanced training of specialized specialists, the creation of educational and professional trajectories for repatriates, as well as measures to prevent and prevent extremism.

During the meeting, a new roadmap for cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UN CTU for 2026-2027 was signed. This document marks the transition to a new stage of strategic partnership and will provide Uzbekistan with extensive expert and technical support in the fight against terrorism.

Also in New York, the Uzbek delegation held talks with the Director of the Executive Directorate of the Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTED) United Nations Natalia Gherman, having discussed joint initiatives in the field of security.

In particular, the prospects of joining the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies (ISRI) under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the IDCTC Global Research Network were considered. It was emphasized that this would allow full access to the research of the world's leading analytical centers in the field of combating terrorism.

Following the meetings, the parties stressed the importance of further close cooperation in countering the terrorist threat.
