During the
talks, the parties discussed the prospects for further development of
cooperation between the Ferghana and Gomel regions in the trade, economic,
investment, agricultural and tourism sectors.
The Khokim
of the Ferghana region noted that the regions of Belarus, in particular the
Gomel region, are important and strategic partners for Ferghana, and bilateral
relations continue to develop dynamically.
It was
noted that due to the active cooperation of the business circles of the two
regions, the volume of trade has increased significantly in recent years. In
turn, the Chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee thanked the
Ferghana partners for participating in the XX Gomel Economic Forum and stressed
that further expansion of cooperation will be based on the initiatives of
enterprises and entrepreneurs.
The meeting
also discussed the development of livestock breeding, the formation of product
processing chains, the introduction of modern agricultural machinery and
advanced technologies, the exchange of experience in the fields of mechanical
engineering and woodworking, as well as the creation of joint ventures. Special
attention is paid to expanding cooperation in the social sphere, culture and
tourism.
In
addition, it was noted that Ferghana entrepreneurs have already started
practical activities in Gomel, including in the field of animal husbandry and
other areas.
As a result
of the meeting, priority areas for further interregional cooperation were
identified.
