According
to the Noticias Ao Minuto portal, this was announced by the country's President
José Maria Neves.
Earlier,
it was reported that 22 people had died and another 18 were injured, with four
of them in critical condition.
The local
branch of the International Committee of the Red Cross announced the deployment
of teams to assist the victims.
The
municipality of São Filipe declared two days of mourning and announced support
measures for the victims' families, reported by report.az.
