The White House confirmed the fact of high-level negotiations with Denmark, but

the right direction" and the administration is optimistic about this
process. The Danish Foreign Ministry confirmed that negotiations were underway,
also declining to provide details.
Sources
told the BBC that the new bases are supposed to be located in the south of the
island. Their tasks will include monitoring the potential activity of the
