Organized in cooperation with the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship,
the Khakimiyat of Syrdarya Region, and the international e-commerce platform
"Wildberries," the seminar aimed to engage local entrepreneurs in
widely utilizing e-commerce opportunities, bring national products to domestic
and foreign markets, and increase the export potential of small and
medium-sized business entities.
As noted, the growing number of business entities in Syrdarya makes
training them in modern trade tools and ensuring the effective use of digital
channels an increasingly urgent task.
In particular, the use of digital trading opportunities by newly
established business entities serves to help them find their place in the
market more quickly. Official statistics record a steady increase in the number
of newly established business entities in Syrdarya region.
Today, there are over 10.6 thousand active business entities in the region.
It is gratifying that nearly 2.7 thousand small business entities operate in
the industrial sector. The number of small business entities in the information
and communication sector has also exceeded 220. These figures show that
alongside entrepreneurship, the demand for the digital economy and modern
business services is growing in the region.
It is important to offer industrial, agricultural, food, textile, leather
and footwear, handicraft, and other products manufactured in the region to a
wide range of consumers through electronic trading platforms. Through this,
local entrepreneurs gain the opportunity to promote their products not only in
the regional and national markets, but also among foreign buyers.
During the event, participants were provided with detailed information on
the practical aspects of working on e-commerce platforms. Specifically,
practical knowledge and skills were presented on opening an online store,
placing products on an electronic platform, forming product cards, searching
for and communicating with buyers, receiving and delivering orders, logistics,
and using payment systems.
The seminar discussed opportunities for developing e-commerce for
entrepreneurs operating in a number of areas.
The main purpose of organizing practical seminar tours in this direction in
the regions by the Higher School of Business and Entrepreneurship is to teach
entrepreneurs to use e-commerce tools effectively, increase their digital
skills, and help them adapt to modern market demands.
During the seminar, stages ranging from establishing an electronic store to
placing products, receiving orders, and setting up logistics and payment processes
were explained based on practical examples.
Another important aspect of e-commerce is the development of logistics and
delivery services. The fact that more than 600 business entities operate in the
field of transportation and storage services in Syrdarya also indicates a
certain potential for developing e-commerce infrastructure.
Currently, nearly 500 artisans operate in the region. Bringing their
products to domestic and foreign markets through e-commerce platforms creates
an important opportunity for artisans to find new buyers, increase sales
volume, and widely promote their products.
From this perspective, this seminar serves not only to teach entrepreneurs
how to work on e-commerce platforms, but also to form a new business ecosystem
by interconnecting production, trade, logistics, and digital services in the
region.
