During the
talks with the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia
Mariam Kvrivishvili, the parties agreed on further steps to expand bilateral
cooperation. In particular, an agreement was reached to prepare for the signing
of a number of documents designed to enhance trade, economic, investment,
transport and logistics cooperation. The issues of holding the 11th meeting of
the Intergovernmental Commission, which will be held in Georgia this autumn,
were also discussed.
During the
visit, meetings were held with the heads of 22 Georgian companies and
organizations. As a result of the negotiations, agreements were reached on the
implementation of joint projects in the fields of industry, construction,
logistics, pharmaceuticals, agriculture, energy, oil and gas industry and the
production of building materials.
Special
attention was paid to the issues of financing investment projects. The parties
discussed the further development of TBC's activities in Uzbekistan, the
creation of an investment platform to attract funds from international funds,
as well as the formation of a fund to support industrial cooperation projects.
