According to the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan, the doctor turned out to be an experienced otorhinolaryngologist Hassan Kamilov, head of a private clinic in Samarkand.
He is a candidate of the Tashkent State Medical University and is currently undergoing advanced training at Chunbuk University in South Korea.
According to Hassan Kamilov, during the flight, the condition of one of the passengers suddenly deteriorated sharply. The woman was in a severe state of shock: her body temperature dropped, there were signs of blueness of the skin.
The doctor provided her with the necessary assistance, using emergency medical equipment that she carries with her, as well as an oxygen mask and medical equipment provided by the Uzbek Airways crew.
As a result, the passenger's condition was stabilized. There was no need for an emergency landing of the aircraft.
"This is not heroism, but our medical duty and part of our daily hard work," said Hassan Kamilov.
