During the visit, the digital certificates ensuring the protection of biometric passports of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) and ICAO PKD (ICAO Public Key Registry), were successfully updated. The procedure was carried out in full compliance with the requirements of the international standard ICAO Doc 9303.

The updated certificates were distributed to all member States of the ICAO PKD system. This will ensure uninterrupted verification of biometric passports of Uzbek citizens by the border services of foreign countries and eliminate possible difficulties when crossing borders.

The update contributes to further ensuring the integrity of the data contained in biometric passports, as well as improving the security of international travel for citizens.

The Republic of Uzbekistan, being an active participant in the ICAO PKD system, continues to improve the infrastructure of electronic travel documents and strengthen international cooperation in this field.
