At the beginning of the event, the heads of the delegations were received by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev.

During the meeting, it was noted that, given the complex geopolitical situation, further strengthening of practical cooperation between the Turkic states in ensuring security and stability, as well as countering modern threats and challenges, is of particular importance.

Kassym‑Jomart Tokayev noted the consistent development of cooperation between the ministries of internal affairs within the framework of the Organization of Turkic States and emphasized the need to strengthen cohesion and coordinate efforts in the fight against transnational crime.

Special attention was paid to the exchange of experience and operational information between law enforcement agencies, the effective use of modern technologies, and the implementation of new practical initiatives in the field of security.

Following the meeting, the third meeting of the ministers of internal affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States began.

During the meeting, representatives of the countries, including the delegation from Uzbekistan, discussed further strengthening cooperation in the search for individuals fleeing criminal prosecution, as well as citizens who are missing.

The need to accelerate the exchange of information between law enforcement agencies, coordinate search activities, and improve the effectiveness of identifying and establishing the whereabouts of wanted persons was noted.

One of the key areas of focus was countering crimes committed using information and communication technologies. The participants emphasized the need to improve mechanisms for detecting offenses in the digital environment, responding to them promptly, and exchanging the necessary information in a timely manner.

Issues related to combating illegal bookmaking activities and gambling were also discussed. In this regard, the importance of establishing effective mechanisms for cooperation between law enforcement agencies of states was noted.

Special attention was paid to countering extremism and terrorism, as well as transnational organized crime. The participants advocated for the further development of prompt information exchange, coordination of joint activities, and expansion of practical cooperation.

Furthermore, issues related to preventing and combating human trafficking and the illegal transportation of migrants were considered. The need to strengthen information exchange and coordinate efforts in the fight against illegal migration and related crimes was emphasized.

An important initiative was the proposal to establish a Council for Combating Crime between the member states and observers of the Organization of Turkic States. The participants put forward proposals for drafting an agreement to establish this structure, with the document subsequently being submitted for signing at the next meeting of the OTS ministers of internal affairs.

It was noted that the implementation of these initiatives will contribute to the institutional strengthening of cooperation among the Turkic states in the field of security and law and order, as well as to expanding opportunities for joint response to common threats.

Following the meeting, a Joint Communiqué was signed at the third meeting of the ministers of internal affairs of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States.

The participants agreed to continue strengthening multifaceted cooperation, coordinating efforts, and developing practical interaction in order to ensure peace, security, and stability in the region.
