During a pre-investigation check conducted by the Department of the Department of the General Prosecutor's Office in the city of Karshi, it was established that the state tax inspectors of the Karshi City Tax Inspectorate M.A., Sh.T. and others received 122.6 million soums from 97 taxpayers, allegedly to repay their tax debts.
At the same time, the funds received were not credited to taxpayers' personal accounts and, according to the audit materials, were appropriated or embezzled.
A criminal case has been opened on this fact under article 167 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan (embezzlement or embezzlement).
Investigative actions are currently underway.
