The main part of the products supplied by them are white cabbage and cauliflower, onions, dill, parsley, grapes, beets, tomatoes and other types of fruit and vegetable products.

As explained in the department, the decision was made in connection with the increased frequency of detection of quarantine facilities in the supply of quarantined products from Uzbekistan. The restrictive measures are aimed at ensuring food security, maintaining the phytosanitary well-being of the territory of Russia, as well as preventing the import and spread of quarantine organisms.

According to the Rosselkhoznadzor, since the beginning of 2026, 132 cases of quarantine objects have been registered in the supply of products from Uzbekistan. Among them are the tomato brown rugose fruit virus, the South American tomato moth (Tuta absoluta), the Western (California) flower thrips (Frankliniella occidentalis) and Beet necrotic yellow vein benyvirus.
