During one
of the events held in the Urgench district of the Khorezm region, a previously
convicted citizen, born in 2000, was detained, who received a parcel sent from
the Russian Federation through a taxi service.
When
checking the contents of the shipment, 10 packages of chocolate were found,
inside of which there was a narcotic drug "hashish" with a total
weight of 967 grams. The seized substance was registered as physical evidence.
In another
case, employees of the Department of the State Security Service for Namangan
region, together with the internal affairs bodies, revealed the fact of illegal
cultivation of narcotic plants in Yangikurgan district.
It was
established that a local resident, born in 1988, grew 423 cannabis bushes on
his land plot for further sale. The materials on this fact are drawn up in
accordance with the procedure established by law.
Criminal
cases have been initiated in both cases. Investigative actions are currently
underway.
