The event was attended by government and political figures of the two countries, entrepreneurs, heads of industrial enterprises, as well as representatives of business associations. The participants discussed issues of expanding trade and economic ties, attracting investments and implementing joint projects, the Dunyo news agency reports.

It was emphasized at the forum that industrial cooperation, the introduction of modern technologies and the creation of joint ventures are important for the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey to a new level.

The combination of the production experience of Turkish companies with the economic potential of Uzbekistan, the creation of new jobs and increasing the production of export-oriented products were noted as promising areas.

One of the important topics of the event was the initiative to create an Uzbek-Turkish industrial zone in Tashkent based on the experience of the OSTIM Turkish industrial zone. The cost of the project is estimated at almost 300 million US dollars, it assumes an area of 100 hectares, and it is planned to create more than 10,000 jobs.

In addition to manufacturing enterprises, it is planned to create technology development centers in the industrial zone, as well as educational, medical and logistics infrastructure. In addition, the initiative to develop an industrial site with an area of 160 hectares in the city of Nukus is also important for increasing investment activity in the regions.

The New Tashkent project also opens up wide opportunities for Turkish investors. In particular, the construction of a $73 million energy facility with the participation of MIMSAN demonstrates that cooperation between the two countries is expanding in the fields of energy and modern infrastructure.

The volume of Turkish investments in the economy of Uzbekistan has exceeded $ 8 billion, and the number of enterprises with the participation of Turkish capital is more than 2.2 thousand. These indicators indicate the consistent development of economic relations between the two countries.

Now, the most important tasks include the effective use of existing potential, the production of high-value-added products, the development of industrial clusters and joint access to foreign markets.

The Ankara Forum has become an important dialogue platform for strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Uzbekistan and Turkey, implementing new investment projects and expanding industrial cooperation.
