The bus had been placed in an impound lot on October 31 after two Uzbek citizens were found to have violated migration laws. An administrative protocol was filed against the driver, and the vehicle was sealed along with the passengers' luggage.
Following the intervention of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan and the Migration Agency, the passengers' belongings were transferred to another bus. On November 2, all Uzbek citizens retrieved their luggage and continued their journey.
In light of the incident, the Consulate General proposed tightening control over international bus services, checking passengers' migration documents during ticket sales, and discussing the practice of holding drivers liable for migration law violations committed by passengers.
Additionally, a proposal was put forward to hold negotiations with the Russian side to simplify the passage of regular buses through Russian and Kazakh border checkpoints. Enhancing the technical inspection of vehicles before trips, especially ahead of the winter season, was also suggested.
