At the
beginning of the meeting, the delegations took part in a wreath-laying ceremony
at the Eternal Flame memorial, paying tribute to the memory of those who died
in World War II.
During the
visit, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with the
defense ministers of the SCO countries. He stressed the importance of further
developing military cooperation, expanding the practice of joint exercises and
strengthening coordination of efforts to ensure regional security.
Bilateral
talks were also held between the Minister of Defense of Uzbekistan, Lieutenant
General Shukhrat Khalmukhamedov and the Minister of Defense of the Kyrgyz
Republic, Major General Ruslan Mukambetov.
The parties
discussed issues of expanding military-technical cooperation, improving the
system of joint training, enhancing the exchange of experience between officers
and specialists, as well as the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at
strengthening regional security.
The talks
were held in a constructive and friendly atmosphere, contributing to the
further strengthening of mutual trust and strategic partnership. This creates a
solid foundation for bringing multilateral cooperation within the SCO to a
qualitatively new level and intensifying efforts to ensure peace and stability
in the region.
