During the
meeting, the large-scale reforms carried out in Uzbekistan under the leadership
of the President, efforts to strengthen state institutions, the consistent
development of neighborhood policy and the formation of a stable and trusting
environment in Central Asia were highlighted.
The current
state and practical directions of cooperation between Uzbekistan and the OSCE
were highly appreciated. The OSCE's support for democratic reforms and an open
regional policy in our country was emphasized.
The
activities of the parliamentary group of the Oliy Majlis on cooperation with
the OSCE were also highlighted. This format is assessed as an important
mechanism for supporting sustainable inter-parliamentary dialogue, as well as
further developing practical cooperation with the OSCE.
During the
conversation, the parties expressed interest in expanding cooperation through
parliamentary structures, expert platforms and joint events.
