According
to the amendments made to the Criminal Code, it is established that the illegal
extraction or sale of precious metals and (or) stones entails criminal
liability if such actions are committed after the application of administrative
penalties for similar acts.
The legal
meaning of the terms "Precious metals" and "Precious
stones" has also been introduced into section VIII of the Criminal Code.
According
to the amendments made to the Code of Administrative Responsibility, illegal mining
or sale of precious metals and (or) stones, -
- entails
administrative arrest for up to 15 days with confiscation of precious metals
and stones, and in respect of persons to whom administrative arrest cannot be
applied, a fine of 10 to 20 euros is imposed.
This Law
comes into force from the date of its official publication.
