The
relevant provision provides for the following procedures:
transfer
and reception of unregistered weapons, ammunition for them and the main parts
of firearms to the territorial internal affairs bodies or the crime prevention
inspector, as well as explosives and explosive devices with the involvement of
a specialist in the neutralization and disposal of these items;
classifications
of the technical suitability of voluntarily surrendered and unregistered
weapons and ammunition;
to
determine and establish the amount of monetary remuneration paid to persons who
voluntarily surrender them, as well as the procedure for granting persons who
voluntarily surrender firearms and ammunition to them preferential rights to
receive them in accordance with the established procedure.;
consideration
and registration of documents on the voluntary surrender and verification of
information about such items obtained by the internal affairs bodies using
forensic and information retrieval systems;
registration
of materials on the voluntary surrender of explosives and explosive devices,
their placement in specialized warehouses or disposal.
The
decision on remuneration for the surrender of weapons and ammunition is made by
the regional commission. The amount of monetary remuneration is set depending
on the type of weapon and ammunition.
