The academy is being established to create a modern education system in fashion, design, and the creative economy, develop a national fashion school, and integrate it into the global fashion industry.

The new higher education institution will operate under the Agency for the Development of the Light Industry. It is being established on the basis of a joint educational program between the Tashkent Institute of Textile and Light Industry and the Paris International Academy of Fashion (Académie Internationale de Coupe de Paris).

Students will be admitted according to the established admission procedures. Starting from the 2027/2028 academic year, the academy plans to introduce a dual education system. This system will provide targeted training for specialists in the textile, garment, knitwear, leather, and footwear industries based on the needs of companies and organizations.

The academy will also develop clothing designs for various organizations and public services through government contracts, as well as work on creating and promoting national fashion brands.

Students will have the opportunity to gain practical skills at manufacturing enterprises while learning from advanced international experience.

To ensure continuity in education, technical college curricula will be redesigned in accordance with the academy’s educational program. These curricula will be approved by the Agency for Professional Education.

Graduates of technical colleges who successfully complete their studies and achieve a grade point average (GPA) no lower than the threshold established by the academy will be eligible to continue their education from the third year of the bachelor’s degree program on a tuition-paying basis.

The resolution also approves a Program of Measures for Organizing the Activities of the Tashkent International Fashion Academy.
