Deputy
Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Shokhrukh Gulamov presented a report
on the investment potential of Uzbekistan, noting promising areas for expanding
economic cooperation.
On the
Austrian side, the forum was attended by Federal Minister for European and
International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger and State Secretary of the Ministry
of Finance Barbara Eibinger-Middle.
During the
event, documents were exchanged, including agreements on avoidance of double
taxation, migration partnership and visa-free regime for diplomats.
The parties
noted the successful activities of the Austrian companies Lasselsberger,
Doppelmayr, AME International, Bowas and Bauer with the financial support of
Raiffeisen and UniCredit banks. Special attention was paid to promising
projects in the mining industry, agriculture, pharmaceuticals and green energy.
Following
the forum, meetings were held in B2B and B2G formats, during which the
development of roadmaps for the implementation of new joint projects was
discussed.
