The opening
ceremony was attended by First Deputy Director of the National Agency for
Social Protection under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, First
Deputy Chairman of the National Paralympic Committee of Uzbekistan, member of
the Bureau of World Aquatics Shakhnoza Mirziyoyeva, Chairman of the Federation
of Trade Unions and Uzbekistan Aquatics, Minister of Sports Adham Ikramov,
First Deputy Chairman of the National Olympic Committee Otabek Umarov.
About 180
athletes from Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus are taking part in the
tournament. Participants compete in different age categories.
The first
winners and prize-winners of the tournament will be determined on the first day
of the competition. The competition will end today.
