In
particular, 9 children were returned from the Russian Federation, and another 2
from the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The work on
the return of minors was carried out by a working group consisting of employees
of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of
Uzbekistan, and the National Agency for Social Protection under the President
of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The activities were carried out with the
assistance of the Commissioner of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan
for the Rights of the Child (the Children's Ombudsman) and in cooperation with
the competent authorities of the relevant foreign states.
In order to
ensure the rights and legitimate interests of the returned children, their
return to a family environment, and to provide them with the necessary social
services and assistance, appropriate measures are being taken.
The further
well‑being of the children and the process of their
adaptation in the family will be supported by the social service centres “Inson” at their place
of residence.
