During the
talks, the parties discussed deepening cooperation in the field of preschool
and school education, the development of French language teaching, advanced
training of teachers and the digitalization of the educational process, the Dunyo
news agency reports.
In
particular, an agreement was signed with the Hachette Livre publishing group to
expand cooperation in the supply of French language textbooks.
At a
meeting with the leadership of France Education International, the creation of
a regional French language training center for Central Asian countries in
Tashkent, as well as a joint Uzbek-French competence center on French language
teaching methods, was discussed.
The French
side also proposed to hold the first regional professional development session
for French language teachers from Central Asian countries in Uzbekistan.
In
addition, a meeting was held with the leadership of the Australian company
Canva, one of the world's leading digital educational platforms. Following the
meeting, an agreement was signed providing for the free use of the Canva for
Education platform by all public secondary schools in Uzbekistan for three
years.
As part of
the project, more than 10,000 public schools in the country will have access to
the platform's digital tools for use in the educational process.
