According to the "Dawn" newspaper, citing police and rescue services, the incident occurred on Depalpur Road in the Pakpattan district of Punjab province. Emergency services personnel and heavy machinery, including cranes, were involved in the rescue operation, which lasted approximately three hours.
According to the publication, eight people sustained minor injuries, while 25 people were taken to the district hospital in Pakpattan, reported by report.az.
The President of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.
