During the
meeting, the parties discussed the implementation of joint projects on the
development of renewable energy sources in Uzbekistan, the further expansion of
strategic cooperation in the energy sector and the implementation of new
investment initiatives.
The parties
emphasized that cooperation with Masdar has played an important role in the
development of the green energy sector in Uzbekistan in recent years. To date,
with the company's participation, five solar power plants with a total capacity
of 1,247 MW and one wind farm with a capacity of 500 MW have been commissioned
in our country, as well as an energy storage system with a capacity of 63 MW,
providing the population and sectors of the economy with environmentally
friendly electricity.
At the same
time, the construction of a solar photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 300 MW
continues at an accelerated pace in Kashkadarya region.
During the
talks, the sides exchanged views on the implementation of new promising
projects in the field of renewable energy, expansion of energy storage systems,
introduction of advanced technologies and further strengthening of investment
partnership.
Following
the meeting, the parties agreed to continue close cooperation on the timely and
high-quality completion of ongoing projects, as well as bringing mutually
beneficial cooperation to a new level.
