The event
was attended by heads and specialists of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic
of Uzbekistan, the Government of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the
People's Republic of China and the Inner Mongolia University of Technology, as
well as representatives of a number of higher educational institutions and
research organizations.
The opening
ceremony was attended by First Deputy Minister of Energy Umid Mamadaminov,
Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region
Shi Guanhui and Vice President of the Inner Mongolia University of Technology,
Professor Guo Hongfei.
In their
speeches, they stressed the importance of further developing scientific
cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources, the introduction of
innovative technologies and the training of highly qualified personnel.
The
laboratory was created within the framework of the "One Belt, One
Road" initiative in cooperation between the National Research Institute of
Renewable Energy Sources under the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of
Uzbekistan and the Technological University of Inner Mongolia of the People's
Republic of China.
As part of
the laboratory's activities, it is planned to conduct joint scientific research
in the field of solar, wind and hydrogen energy, energy storage technologies,
intelligent energy systems and artificial intelligence, create modern
laboratories, as well as train highly qualified specialists.
In
addition, the laboratory's activities will contribute to the formation of a
platform in Central Asia for demonstrating energy technologies, localizing
advanced developments and bringing scientific and innovative cooperation
between the two countries to a qualitatively new level.
