It is
reported that on September 5, a 51-year-old Uzbek citizen who arrived on a
flight from Thailand passed customs control in accordance with the established
procedure. During the inspection of his luggage, the suspicion of customs
officers was aroused by three wine bottles and packages with spices.
The seized
substances were sent for examination to the Central Customs Laboratory of the
Customs Committee. The study showed that the dark brown substance in the
containers with a pungent odor contains tetrahydrocannabinol. It has been
established that this is a narcotic drug "hashish oil", which is
prohibited for trafficking in Uzbekistan. Its total weight was 7 kg 580 g.
During the
operational activities, it turned out that the man, on the instructions of a
curator who operated on Telegram under the name "Absolyut," was
supposed to illegally import drugs into Uzbekistan for $ 1,800 and deliver them
to Samarkand.
After that,
operational activities were continued in Samarkand. A 47-year-old citizen was
detained there, who was supposed to receive narcotic substances. During an
inspection of his place of residence with the participation of witnesses, wine
bottles, a container for dishwashing detergent and syringes with "hashish
oil" in them were found. In addition, dried mushrooms were found, the use
of which causes intoxication.
The total
weight of the detected two types of narcotic substances was about 5.5 kg.
According to the customs authorities, the man was supposed to distribute drugs
to the addresses received from the curator in Telegram from the account
"Right Ktrel".
Thus, as a
result of a multi-stage operational measure, the illegal trafficking of a total
of 13 kg 80 g of "hashish oil" was suppressed.
According
to experts, such an amount of narcotic drugs would be enough to involve about
200 thousand people in drug use. At the same time, the value of the seized
substances on the black market, according to estimates, could exceed $ 1.7
million until they were sold to end users.
