The Mihama Nuclear Power Plant is situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan on Honshu Island, approximately 320 kilometers west of Tokyo. Construction of the plant began in 1967, featuring three Pressurized Water Reactors (PWR) with capacities of 340 MW, 500 MW, and 826 MW, respectively.
