According
to the Ministry of Energy, 5,310 MW of total generation accounted for renewable
energy sources, which is 1,585 MW or 42.6% more than at the same time last
year.
The
increase in electricity generation due to renewable energy sources has reduced
the load on thermal power plants. Thermal power plant generation decreased from
7,243 MW to 6,293 MW, and natural gas consumption at thermal power plants
decreased by 293 thousand cubic meters and amounted to 1,272 thousand cubic
meters.
As a
result, the share of renewable energy sources in the generation structure
increased from 33.6% to 45.3% relative to the figures recorded on June 24, 2025
at 15:00.
The
large-scale reforms in the energy sector, implemented at the initiative of the
President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, attracting large investments in solar
energy and energy storage systems are already yielding tangible results.
Today,
green energy not only provides additional amounts of electricity, but also
helps to save strategically important natural gas, strengthen the country's
energy security and reduce environmental impact.
293
thousand cubic meters of saved gas is not just an indicator. This is a
practical result of ongoing reforms, attracted investments and consistent
development of green energy in Uzbekistan.
